Located at Underwood, Logan, in the Loganholme shopping district, the venue is surrounded by major shopping centres, superstores and retail outlets, and just 20 minutes freeway drive from downtown Brisbane and 40 minutes from the Gold Coast.
We’re a contemporary venue housed in a building with an interesting history.
The settlement of Kuraby began in 1860, when settlers began clearing land for farming.
In the post-World War 11 era Brisbane began expanding and suburbanization around Kuraby took hold. Major roads and transport networks were built in the 1960s and 1970s contributed to the growth of the suburb.
This growth brought about the need for a hotel. The original Kuraby Hotel was opened in the 1970s but was rebuilt down the road to its current location and known as Hotel HQ Underwood.
The Kuraby Hotel, established in 1973, marked a significant development in the suburb of Kuraby as it shifted from its agricultural roots to urbanization.
The hotel served as a focal point for the community at this time.
Hotel HQ today is a popular local destination, offering spacious bistro with a new kid’s area, an exciting sports bar with any sport you wish to watch in cool air-conditioned comfort, and a private function space for any celebration.
Today our venue is surrounded by shopping centres and retail outlets. Just 20 minutes from Brisbane city, and 40 minutes from the Gold Coast, it provides easy access while being situated on the edge of Logan City.
Our new Head chef has created an exciting dining experience. Our restaurant offers pub classics from steaks to classic schnitzel, or something in-between. There are $3 kids’ meals every Sunday.
We have a family friendly atmosphere, and host many Sporting events like UFC and boxing, as well as local fixtures – NRL AFL, cricket, you can catch any game in our sports bar.
There’s always something going on at Hotel HQ, whether it’s Musical Bingo on Thursday nights from 6pm, or in the Gaming room all your popular favourites Lightning Cash & Dragon Cash games.
